Make Your Mark…Your Year Starts Here

September 15 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Join us for Make Your Mark: Your Year Starts Here to celebrate Back to School and Dot Day with an afternoon of creativity, connection, and hands-on exploration!

September 15, 2026 | 3:00–5:00 p.m.
Start in WOOH 130 | Woodard Hall, Louisiana Tech University

Here’s how the experience works: We’ll kick things off at 3:00 p.m. in WOOH 130. Pick up your exploration map, then visit interactive activities and meet-and-greets throughout Woodard Hall. Explore each station, collect punches on your map, and turn in your completed map for a chance to win a door prize!

Arriving after 3:00? No problem, just stop by WOOH 130 whenever you arrive to pick up your exploration map, and start your adventure.

Connect, Create, and Explore

You will have opportunities to:

  • travel beyond the classroom through a virtual field trip,
  • contribute to a collaborative read-aloud recording,
  • explore artificial intelligence, augmented reality, and STEM experiences,
  • capture the moment at a selfie station,
  • enjoy a dirty soda, and
  • meet people and discover some of the resources available.

Along the way, you will collect punches on your exploration map. Turn in your completed map at WOOH 130 by 4:45 for a chance to win a door prize!

As you explore, you’ll do more than celebrate the start of a new school year. Each hands-on experience will invite you to think critically, collaborate with others, communicate new ideas, and create. Along the way, you’ll build new connections, discover fresh ideas, and gather inspiration to bring into your current or future classroom.

Who Should Attend?

We created Make Your Mark especially for CEHS students and clinical residents, and we welcome Louisiana Tech faculty, educators, and district partners to join the experience.

Come as you are…no advance registration required! Begin your exploration in WOOH 130 anytime between 3:00 and 5:00 p.m.
