Overview
Microsoft 365 is a cloud-based version Microsoft Office and is always up-to-date with the most recent version of your favorite software applications such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
With your Microsoft 365 account, you are able to download the apps to your computer and also have full access via your phone. By integrating Microsoft 365 into the classroom, teachers can streamline administrative tasks, facilitate seamless collaboration, promote digital literacy, and create engaging learning experiences. By integrating Microsoft 365 into their teaching practice, educators can empower students, foster digital skills, and create a dynamic learning environment that prepares students for the modern world.
If you are a student or faculty member at Tech, you have a Microsoft 365 account which includes a 1 TB OneDrive!
- To access Microsoft 365, visit https://www.office.com and use “username”@office.latech.edu and your normal password.
- You can also Install on Your Computer. Your Microsoft 365 account allows five installations of the ‘old’ Office package onto your computer following the below steps:
- Open your account page
- From any 365 app, click your profile image in the upper-right corner
- Choose “My Account” located in the navbar on the left
- Install Office located in the Office Apps & Devices
- Follow the online instructions
- To install on Your Phone or Tablet
- Open your app store
- Search for the app(s) you wish to utilize on your phone (Word, PowerPoint, Whiteboard, Excel…)
- Install app(s) and sign in with your Office 365 credentials
